America's Showcase was developed to provide the nation’s premier high school players an opportunity to be scouted by high-level programs so those players may further their hockey careers in prep school, juniors, college, and beyond. Our five days packed with over 50 competitive hockey games gives the scouts on-hand (and watching online) plenty of opportunities to recruit from the wealth of talent on the ice. The success of our event is ultimately measured by how many of those players are able to use America's Showcase as a springboard to a successful future in the upper echelon of hockey programs in North America.
America’s Showcase this year will be held April 20-24, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA at the Robert Morris University Sports Center. It is estimated that around twenty-four boys’ teams from across the United States will compete and showcase their talents to scouts from several major hockey institutions in the country.
Head Coach for Team Missouri White is Mike Edwards, SIUe Cougars Head Coach.
Players who make the Showcase team will be responsible for all fees associated with the team which include items such as practice ice, exhibition games, team jacket, hotel, airfare, etc. The cost per player for prior years has ranged from $600-$700 with all expenses included (except lunch/dinner). The fee is greatly dependent upon airfare prices.
